Fun in Arkansas!

The weather cooperated on Thursday, and we were able to spend some time on the lake. It was absolutely beautiful! The girls each got to help Grandpa drive the boat.

We walked through Tanyard Creek, a favorite hike, to see the waterfall. A heavy rain in the past week made the creek quite full.

The girls also got an opportunity to be a part of Grandpa's Barbershop show. They get to walk across the stage on Saturday as part of the Easter parade. We've had a wonderful time here this week. The best part was being able to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa. It's back to school on Monday!

McKinsey is 11!

McKinsey turned 11 today! The day began with the traditional birthday donut. Grandma had very cool relighting candles that smoked up the whole house :)
After opening a few gifts including some new clothes, we did some shopping. McKinsey chose to go to a movie, so we all enjoyed The Spiderwick Chronicles. It was off to Applebees for dinner where kids ate free and McKinsey got a free birthday dessert. We were too full to truly enjoy the chocolate cupcakes before bed. All in all she had a great day!

Easter Fun!

We were able to enjoy some Easter activities at church on Saturday which included an egg toss (not a real egg!), games, face painting and an Easter egg hunt. The Easter bunny managed to find us in Arkansas. We hope you and yours had a blessed Easter as well.

Birthday Skate Party

McKinsey and her sister had a combined birthday party at one of the local skating rinks.

Instead of receiving birthday gifts, Mckinsey asked her birthday guests to bring a new Webkinz toy to donate to Children's Hospital in Omaha.

Camp CoHoLo Carnival

On Sunday (March 2nd), McKinsey went with her Sister and her Mother to Camp CoHoLo's Carnival. There were games to play and food to eat. And of course, face painting.

Yesterday McKinsey had about 9" of hair cut off to donate to Locks of Love.

Kerstin and McKinsey have big news! They have both adopted a kitten from the Humane Society. Kerstin's kitty is calico-colored with a few tiger stripes. Her name is Kallie and she loves to play! McKinsey's kitty's name is Oreo and she is black and white. She loves to snuggle. The girls are having lots of fun playing with the kitties (and emptying the litter box!)
